Our scoring process is intentionally transparent, data-driven, and designed to honor the whole agent: production, service, leadership, and growth. We believe the best agents don’t just sell homes… they strengthen communities and elevate the industry.

Here’s exactly how our scoring works and what it takes to stand out.

The PT50 Scoring Breakdown

Applicants are evaluated across four key categories:

• Production – 60%

• Community Involvement – 25%

• Designations – 7.5%

• Industry Involvement – 7.5%

These categories reflect activities completed within the official scoring period of September 1 through August 31, ensuring a consistent and fair evaluation window for all applicants.

1. Production (60%)

Production is the largest component of the PT50 score.

This category reflects an agent’s real estate performance through:

• Total sales volume

• Units (transactions) closed

There are no minimum requirements to apply.

To ensure accuracy and fairness:

• PT50 verifies production directly with the applicant’s broker after the application period closes

This removes self-reporting bias and ensures every applicant is measured consistently.

2. Community Involvement (25%)

What truly sets Platinum Top 50 apart is our commitment to recognizing agents who give back.

Community involvement accounts for 25% of the total score and reflects both financial contributions and volunteer time.

How Points Are Awarded

Points are earned based on donations AND/OR volunteer hours:

Donations

• $100–$499 → 1 point

• $500–$999 → 2 points

• $1,000+ → 3 points

Volunteer Hours

• 1–8 hours → 1 point

• 9–16 hours → 2 points

• 17+ hours → 3 points

Applicants can include involvement such as:

• Charitable donations or fundraising

• Volunteering with nonprofits

• Church, PTA, HOA, or civic engagement

• Organizations like Junior League, Scouts, and local causes

Also important to note: You can claim both donations and volunteer hours for one organization, if you give of both your time and your treasure. You simply add each on their own line item in your application, and you'll receive points for each. For example: If you donated $600 to a non-profit AND you volunteered 8 hours of your time, those are 2 separate line items in your submission, and are both point-earning submissions on their own. In this case you'd earn 2 points for the financial donation and 1 point for the volunteer hours.

TIP: Past PT50 winners average 12 or more charitable line items, reinforcing how important community impact is to our selection process. Don't short change yourself on your application. Reference your calendar & your bank account to refresh your memory! Chances are, you've done a lot this year!

3. Industry Involvement (7.5%)

We believe great agents don’t just participate in the industry—they help shape it.

Industry involvement includes participation in recognized real estate organizations, councils, or associations (excluding internal brokerage awards or committees).

How Points Are Awarded

• 1 Point = Member of a recognized industry organization

• 2 Points = Served on a committee

• 3 Points = Served as a committee chair or officer

This category rewards leadership, engagement, and a commitment to advancing the profession.

4. Designations (7.5%)

Top agents invest in their growth, and we believe that matters.

Designations and certifications must be completed before August 31 to count toward the current application cycle.

How Points Are Awarded

• 1 point per designation earned
