PT50's 2nd Annual Charity 5K Fun Run & Walk: Benefiting Austin Pets Alive!

At Platinum Top 50, we believe that the best real estate professionals don't just close deals… they show up for their communities. Our 2nd Annual Charity 5K Fun Run & Walk on May 2nd was a perfect reminder of exactly that.

With beautiful weather, over 100 registrants, and some seriously good energy, our agents, partners, and supporters gathered on the event lawn at Market Square at Flora before setting off on a 3.1-mile course through the community. The course wound through wildflower nature trails that gave participants stunning scenery alongside the way; a fitting backdrop for a group that appreciates both hard work and the finer things!

Whether participants came to race, to walk, or somewhere in between, everyone showed up with the same spirit!

Post-race, the celebration continued with "gatoritas," adult-sized bounce houses, and awards for top finishers.

This Year's Cause: Austin Pets Alive!

For our 2nd Annual 5K, PT50 was proud to raise $4,000 for Austin Pets Alive!, an organization dedicated to saving the animals most at risk of euthanasia through adoption and foster programs. To put that in perspective: $25 buys a week of milk for a litter of kittens. $50 vaccinates a litter of puppies. The PT50 donation has the power to save the lives of 10 dogs or cats — covering shelter, food, basic medical care, and daily care. With more than 550 animals currently listed for adoption, every dollar makes a direct difference.

Last year, our inaugural 5K raised funds for HopeAustin, which provides weekend meals each week to approximately 5,000 children who rely on subsidized meals during the school year. We're proud to carry that tradition of giving forward.
