Born and raised in Munich, Germany, Monika Suhnholz has proudly called Austin home for more than three decades. She quickly fell in love with the city’s vibrant culture and the warmth of the Texas community, making it the perfect place to grow both personally and professionally.

Since launching her real estate career in 2005, Monika has become one of Austin’s most trusted advisors. She is consistently ranked among the top 3–5% of Coldwell Banker agents worldwide, is a Global Luxury Agent, and a Certified Relocation Specialist. For the past ten years, she has also been a proud member of Platinum Top 50, which recognizes top-producing agents for industry excellence and community leadership.

Her success stems from a strong work ethic, positive outlook, and ability to quickly understand each client’s unique needs. With roots in both Europe and the U.S., she is especially attuned to the needs of international clients relocating to Central Texas. Her dedication to outstanding service has earned her a loyal client base both locally and abroad.

Before entering real estate, Monika built a career defined by excellence in hospitality and leadership. After earning her degree in hotel management, she worked at the prestigious InterContinental Hotel in London and the renowned Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Munich. In 1997, she became the General Manager of Austin’s first professional men’s soccer team, where she was named Executive of the Year by the United Soccer League and served as the only woman on its Executive Committee.

Passionate about giving back, Monika proudly supports organizations including the 4ATX Foundation, Austin Angels, LifeWorks, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and other nonprofits dedicated to children and families.

She and her husband, Joe Thesing, live in Northwest Austin with their dog, George, and enjoy cheering on Austin FC, live music, theater, and outdoor fitness.
