Hays CISD recognized Kerri’s investment and dedication in 2009, honoring her as Teacher of the Year.

In addition, she is an earnest volunteer, working with organizations like Susan G. Komen, Buda Lions Club, Hays Education Foundation, Texas Food Banks, and Relay for Life; deepening her knowledge and understanding of local communities with her ongoing and spirited involvement.

Kerri is also a proud supporter of Austin Pets Alive and enjoys spending her leisure time outdoors with her rescue dog, Mila. You will often find her hiking or biking as she explores the Texas Hill Country, or swimming in one of the many rivers or lakes nearby.
